About Sunrise Alarm Clock

SunriseAlarmClock.app turns the visible area of your screen from dark colours to warm light over a period you choose. It can also play one of five sounds at your selected wake-up time. It is free to use and does not require an account.

What this version can do

Choose a wake-up time in your device's local time, a sunrise lasting 10–45 minutes, the final on-screen light level and an optional sound. The sound fades in at wake-up. A regular session ends five minutes after wake-up. You can stop it sooner.

The demo lasts 30 seconds: 24 seconds of changing light and 6 seconds of optional sound.

What you need to know

The app changes displayed colours, not the display's hardware brightness setting. It cannot unlock or turn on a sleeping screen. Keep the page visible and the screen unlocked. The selected-by-default “Keep screen awake while the sunrise runs” option requests keep-awake only for the visible session, where supported. It displays the result and releases the request when the session ends. It does not change the device’s general auto-lock setting. You can uncheck the option before starting.

Your device can release that permission, pause audio or stop the browser. This is not a guaranteed alarm. Use your phone's regular alarm as a backup. The effect depends on the display, its brightness, placement and room lighting; we make no medical or sleep-improvement claims.

Switching apps or locking the screen can interrupt a session. When you return after the page was hidden, this version ends the interrupted session and asks you to start again. Reloading or closing the page cancels the session. No alarm is automatically restored.

Privacy

This version does not add analytics, advertising trackers, cookies, external fonts or embedded third-party players. It does not save settings in browser storage. Your selected time and sound are used in the current page and are not submitted to a server. Audio files are fetched from this website when needed.

The hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical request data to deliver and protect the website. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to answer your request.
